Dr. Jackson, What are your dental qualifications, and where can I verify them?
Yes, it is always important to check dental qualifications for care.
I went to the University of Alabama at Birmingham for my dental degree, and I was very, very fortunate that I had a great dental education. Past that, I am a ADA member, which stands for American Dental Association member, a Tennessee Dental Association member, and a Fourth District Dental Association member.
I also am a current faculty member for the New York University (NYU) dental program as an instructor for advanced education in general dentistry. Additionally, I was on the faculty for the Vanderbilt University oral surgery program.
Can you explain more about Fourth District?
It’s a local dental society here in the Middle Tennessee area. It’s a group of dentists who get together to hold dental meetings and discuss other current topics within dentistry.
