Schedule Your Checkup Every Six Months

Most of our healthy patients benefit from a preventive cleaning and exam every six months. During this appointment, we will gently clean plaque, stain, and tartar away from your teeth and screen for signs of gum disease or tooth decay.

After your cleaning, we may recommend a professional fluoride treatment to combat enamel demineralization and limit your risk of tooth decay. Fluoride is also very effective in managing sensitivity.

Oral Cancer Screenings Save Lives

Even if you don’t think you’re at risk for oral cancer, Dr. Jackson will screen for pathological and precancerous tissues during your exam. Most types of oral cancers (including those within the lymph nodes of the head and neck) are best addressed as quickly as possible. Early diagnosis is key. Risk factors can include everything from sun exposure to specific types of viruses.
If it’s been six months or longer since your last dental checkup, call Murfreesboro Family Dentistry today to schedule your first visit with Dr. Jackson. New patients are always welcome!
